I was bored today, so I figured I’d make good on my promise of more local news. If this is a success, I may do more often (though I’m not sure how often).
Dan Rodricks is reporting that a new play about A.E Poe just opened in Station North. The musical (commissioned by a theater in Virginia) is being presented by Stillpointe Theatre (which I thought folded years ago) at Area 405 (as in 405 East Oliver) Thurs-Sat at 8pm through May 6th. Tickets are $25-45.
Baltimore Business Journal is reporting that the Baltimore Convention Center is back to pre-pandemic with over 100 events slated through the end of the year. This is great news for the legions of panhandlers who infest this area.
WBAL TV is reporting that the Baltimore School for the Blind is hosting it’s 2nd annual See Beyond Festival on their “beautiful campus” (3501 Taylor Ave) on April 29th from 10am-3pm.
Baltimore Fishbowl is Baltimore County is give away 500 free trees to residents last week to commemorate Earth Day (April 22). Now, if they could just get their rampant development under control, they’d actually be onto something.
The National Weather Service has issued a “Fire Weather Watch” for the City/County for Tuesday due the elevated risk of wildfires caused by strong winds and low humidity. Stay safe out there.
